Seminar Series: Justice in the City
You are invited to join us for the fourth and final event in the RMIT Centre for Urban Research’s Justice in the City seminar series.
How might we reveal situated (in)justices through teaching and research? Sen (2009) argues that our understanding of justice ‘cannot be indifferent to the lives that people can actually live’ and that a person’s capability to live sustainably or a good and worthwhile life, for example, is where the space for determining justice is located (Walker 2015). This seminar explores how spatialising pedagogies can help us to better understand practices and capabilities which in turn help to inform judgments of justice and injustice in different urban contexts.
