Jane explores the entanglement of everyday food practices and emerging pro-environmental dietary change strategies with a focus on interventions aimed at reducing meat consumption.

Her research examines diets and dietary change through the application of social practice theory in order to inform policies and programs aimed at achieving more sustainable, resilient and healthful diets.

Her research interests include: social practice theory, sustainable consumption, the ‘meatification’ of diets, dietary change, food policy, health promotion and ecological public health.
