Ethnographic household research to inform future electricity pricing strategies an infrastructure planning in Victoria.

  • Project dates: 2018–2019

The Beyond Behaviour Change research program is performing ethnographic research with Victorian households living in the AusNet Services electricity distribution area. The project trials innovative research methods to develop understandings of key electricity issues facing residential electricity consumers. The research includes in-depth case studies for a variety of household types including early adopters of rooftop solar and battery storage, and households who may be vulnerable to energy-related hardship.

Planning for future infrastructure needs and affordable electricity is complex.
