This event launches the Resilience Plan for Beveridge North West which has been developed in partnership by Mitchell Shire Council, the Victorian Planning Authority (VPA), Department of Transport and Planning (formerly Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning), Yarra Valley Water, and RMIT University, with support by the City of Melbourne City Resilience and Sustainable Futures Team.
After an introduction to the content and development process of the Resilience Plan, and its official launch, a panel with representatives from the partnership members will discuss the challenges of growth area planning and planning for resilience and climate change impacts, and how instruments like a resilience plan can assist in responding to these challenges.
