Belinda Davis

PhD Candidate and Research Assistant in CUR’s Climate Change Transformations Research Program. Her research focuses on child-centred disaster risk reduction and school-based disaster resilience education.

Belinda commenced her PhD at RMIT in 2019.

Her PhD research is focused on how particular approaches to school-based education for disaster risk reduction and resilience can facilitate the development of personal agency and lead to transformative learning outcomes.

 Belinda also works as a Research Assistant within CUR’s Climate Change Transformations Research Program, providing support on a range of projects relating to child-centred disaster risk reduction.

Prior to joining CUR, Belinda worked in the UK on a European Union project Building Resilience to Disasters across Communities in Europe. She is the author of several book chapters and journal articles on the topics of flood risk, climate change and disaster resilience.
