Emma holds a BA in cultural studies from Maastricht University and an MA in environmental management from Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Her PhD research is in environmental humanities and is part of the ACR project ‘Extinction Imaginaries’.
Emma is currently exploring how the perceived extinction of the wild influences nature conservation strategies, with a focus on rewilding practices.
