Jessica is a Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence for Geospatial Urban Research with the Australian Urban Observatory.
Before joining the AUO, Jessica was a Research Fellow at RMIT University’s School of Computing Technologies. Previously, she was part of Deakin University’s Applied AI Institute, where she specialised in translational research and the development of industry-grade AI applications. She earned her PhD from RMIT University, focusing on applying AI for Player Modelling in Interactive Narratives.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of AI/ML, Software Engineering, and Human-Computer Interaction. Before her PhD, Jessica gained practical insights into software development practices while working as a Software Engineer and Consultant in Mexico. With over seven years of teaching experience, she has covered a range of Computer Science courses, including Java, Python, C/C++, AI, Games Programming, Operating Systems, and Ethics.
