Lisel Thomas

Lisel has had a long career working in urban planning for both local Councils and State Government in Victoria and is currently part of the Australian Urban Observatory (AUO) team.

Lisel has had a long career working in urban planning for both local Councils and State Government in Victoria. This includes ten years with the Victorian Planning Authority where she focused on planning and delivery of community infrastructure. Lisel was recently appointed to work part-time with the Centre for Urban Research in RMIT University’s School of Global, Urban and Social Studies as the AUO Knowledge Broker and Partnerships Manager. Lisel is also in the process of becoming a qualified Early Childhood teacher and plans to work in early childhood in parallel with her AUO role.
