Melissa Laing

Melissa Laing is a social worker and Associate Lecturer in the Social Work and Human Services program cluster in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies at RMIT University. She is also a PhD candidate in Social Equity Research Centre. Melissa’s research is centred on multispecies entanglements and their implications for human services practice with marginalised communities. She has a particular interest in the intersection between gender-based violence, animal abuse and poverty in urban settings.
