This project combines social network maps and qualitative methods to examine the contribution of networks in the Southern Grampian and Glenelg Primary Care Partnership members to disaster resilience and climate change adaptation.

The analysis considers how network dynamics and bridging bonding and linking social capitals’, correlate with stages of disaster management and incremental and transformative adaptation.

It critically examines the level of network comprehension required for disaster and adaptation planning to prevent exacerbating existing vulnerabilities or inequalities, and if and how resilience building networks can be supported.

The project is carried out in close collaboration with the Southern Grampians Glenelg Primary Care Partnership based in Hamilton, Victoria and is funded by the National Disaster Resilience Grant Scheme Victoria.
