Francesca Vanelli

Francesca is an Architect, Urban Planner, and Land Specialist.

She is a PhD Candidate for the Marie Curie co-funded Dual PhD Program at POLIMI and RMIT within the REDI program. Her thematic interests include land and natural resources management, (peri) urban governance for adaptation, social cohesion, disasters and conflict risk management. Her past working experience cut across architecture and planning, research and development projects; prior to starting her PHD, she worked as Academic Assistant in the field of Land and Water Management at IHS, Erasmus University, Rotterdam (NL). She graduated cum laude from the MSc. in Urban Management and Development at IHS, in 2019. In 2016 she obtained an MS. in Architecture at the University of Ferrara (IT).
