Jasmine Pearson

Dr Jasmine Pearson is an Environmental Social Scientist with a passion for understanding human-nature relationships.

Her work primarily focuses on how people value, relate to and connect with nature.

Jasmine is a Research Fellow under the ARC Linkage Project titled “More than a reserve? Measuring the benefits of private protected areas.” The interdisciplinary project seeks to measure the ecological, socio-cultural, and economic benefits generated by private protected areas (PPAs) in Australia to both human and non-human beneficiaries.

Her research interests include relational values, human-nature connectedness, Indigenous and local knowledge (ILK) systems and the social dimensions of climate change.
