Rosie’s research looks at whether ecological crisis and existential crisis are synonymous in western contexts like Australia where success is measured based on career rather than connection to environments. She is looking at how decoloniality can be understood as a response to climate change.
Rosie completed her education in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia and has a bachelor’s degree in arts / education (Honours) and a Masters of Environment. She is a sessional tutor for climate-related subjects.
Rosie enjoys sharing her learnings by creating spaces and events to talk about the awkward and interesting, whether that be dinner conversations about climate anxiety, to role-play games exploring the unintended consequences of migration. She is hopeful her PhD will be an embodied practice where the domestic life reflects how we feel and be in the world.
