Ryan Turner

Ryan Turner is a researcher in the Healthy Liveable Cities Lab of the Centre for Urban Research and currently completing a Master of Geospatial Science at RMIT University.

With a Bachelor of Architectural Design (2020) from the University of Queensland, Ryan looks to expand his expertise with a Master of Geospatial Science (December 2023) from RMIT University. His interests lie in geospatial technology and spatial analytics enabled through open-source software and technologies for use cases related to urban design and sustainability. These have informed his year-long dissertation topic titled ‘Developing a Responsive Digital Twin for Flood Detection’.

Ryan is currently part of a research team involved in the 1000 Cities Challenge organised by the Global Observatory of Healthy and Sustainable Cities.
